To register on YachtAway, click on "Sign Up" on the top right corner of your screen. To join the YachtAway groups and recommend them to friends or family, click on the following links: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google +, Linkedin, Youtube and Pinterest.
If you have forgotten your password, you can click on "Log in" on the top right of your screen, then on "Forgot your password?". If your account was blocked, you can contact us by sending an email to email@example.com. Do not forget to describe the situation so to help you more effectively. For example, you may have entered your password 10 times wrong, or you may not know why your account was blocked.
In order to change your password simply go to the 'change password' option into 'account' tab. You will be asked to feed in your old password and your requested new password before you click 'change password'.
To modify a confirmed booking, please send us an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org. If the modification causes the pricing to change and be higher, we will redirect the traveler towards the payment page. If the modification cause the pricing to be lower, the traveler will be reimbursed within a few days. The booking will automatically be updated after the renter or yacht owner accepts it. You will be able to download the new booking by going to your account, and clicking on "Bookings".

(f) Wait for the owner's approval
(g) Proceed with the payment,receive your booking confirmation and charter contract.
(a) For a bareboat charter it is obvious that you need an adequate experience and you must have the licence that proves it in order to have your booking approved by the owner, also you will be needed another member of the crew to have some experience to help you navigate the yacht.
(b) For a skippered yacht charter,no you don't need any boating experience. This is taken care by your skipper.
All pleasure boats and skippers adhere to strict international safety standards with regard to safety equipment and operation. But we advise you with some basic rules during your holiday.
(a) Pay attention to the skipper during the check in and comply with everything he says.
(Supreme master on board is always the captain!!!)
(b) Make sure you have medication for seasickness as well as sunscreen and cream for sunburns
(c) Do not consume alcohol or any substances during sailing
(e) Do not swim during bad weather, after eating or drinking
All the yacht owners, upon creation of a yacht listing on our platform, declare their yacht is insured for peer to peer yacht charters. We also check their paperwork before any boat departure. Although if you are interested in any further information like what kind of insurance they have, you can ask them / ask us.
Upon check in you will be asked to handle over to the owner a security deposit (refundable),that is to secure the owner for any damages,and he/she will refunded it upon check out,provided that where no damages. All members in our platform are stating their security deposit fees, so you will be aware in advance.
Upon check out you will be asked to fill up the tank with fuel as you had it upon check out.
Also an end cleaning fee is charged that is also stated in the description of the listing.
After you request a booking and an owner confirms it, you have to secure your booking by sending a down payment of the percent set by the yacht owner (payment terms). Starting with 25% of the booking price to the 100% (strict setting).
When the payment clears your information and yacht owners information will be commonly visible among you and you can talk directly to each other. For yacht owners with annual fee you can contact them anytime, even before requesting a booking. The payment methods that YachtAway accepts are Paypal (using it with your bank account or any other card) or Bank wire transfer through your bank account directly. In the event that you are unable to pay electronically you can make a bank transfer, in that case contact us at email@example.com for further help.
With the yacht's owner authorization or the skipper's authorization you may steer it if the skippers allows you to. Providing to do this you need to be a holder of the specific license. If you are on a motorised boat you will definetely need a license although for sailing boats if the skipper agrees he may judge that is not compulsory.
For most charters with a skipper, the skipper service fees are included in the price. If they are not, the owner will specify this in the listing. For a charter with or without a skipper, do not hesitate to ask any question to the boat owner by sending a message through the platform. He/She can give you more details about the boat's charter.
You can create a listing in the listings section of your profile or click here. After you complete your listing, it may take up to 48 hours for your boat to become active and the listing appear in search results.
We have two categories of listings (yachts)
(a) Listing that are at an annual fee subscription. If your yacht away is listed at an annual fee subscription you have the owner's contact details revealed and you may contact him/her directly for further instruction regarding payments or any other.
(b) Listings that are at a pay per booking subscription. If your yacht away is listed at a pay per booking subscription you cannot contact the owner directly, hence you are required to pay through our web platform. YachtAway is using Paypal for all electronic payments so you are safe for your payments.
In the event that you are unable to pay electronically you can make a bank transfer, in that case contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further instructions. We will be able to manage other types of payment although we do not accept checks.
You can ask for a review for your boat after a booking is completed. In the listings menu there is an option that you insert the travelers information so you will be able to ask him to write a review for your boat.
